Bob, our gentle therapy horse, has one favourite thing after a long day of helping riders feel brave. Apples.

While most of us reach for brownies, Bob patiently waits for his sweet reward at the end of every day. And honestly, he’s earned it.

Known around Hope Haven as “Bob the Builder,” he spends his days comforting riders, going on trail rides and patiently supporting beginners through their equestrian journeys. In just the past year alone, Bob has brought joy and comfort to nearly 300 individuals with disabilities and unique needs.

At Hope Haven, our therapy horses do so much more than ride. They help individuals build  emotional strength they often struggle to achieve elsewhere.

But caring for these incredible horses comes at a cost. The annual hay bill alone exceeds $30,000, and as a non-profit equestrian facility, Hope Haven relies entirely on grants and donations to continue supporting both our riders and therapy horses.
